Practiselaw.Not administration.
Intake that qualifies before it reaches a solicitor, matters that show their own state, and clients who can check progress without an email that needs answering.
Pre
Qualified intake
Enquiries triaged and conflict-checked before a fee earner spends a minute on them.
Auto
Key date alerts
Limitation dates and deadlines flag early, to the right person, every time.
Self
Client updates
A portal that answers the where-is-it-up-to email before it gets sent.
The shift
Same business. Different day.
Before
Every enquiry gets a solicitor’s time, including the ones that were never going to be a matter.
After
Structured intake qualifies, conflict-checks and triages first. Fee earners see enquiries worth their hour.
Before
The state of a matter lives in one person’s head and a folder, and vanishes when they take leave.
After
Stages, tasks, owners and key dates visible to whoever needs them, so matters survive holidays and handovers.
Before
Precedents rebuilt from the last similar matter, with last client’s name still in paragraph nine.
After
Documents generated from matter data. Right names, right dates, right clauses, produced in seconds.
Before
Update emails written repeatedly, and clients who still ring because they are not sure anything is happening.
After
A portal showing progress, documents and next steps. Fewer status calls, better-informed clients.

Progress, documents, signatures and secure messaging, branded as your firm.

Limitation dates and deadlines tracked with escalating alerts to solicitor and supervisor.

Work in progress, matter throughput and referral sources, current rather than retrospective.
Honest verdicts
The firm stack, honestly assessed.
We build custom software, and we will still tell you when you do not need it. Keep what works, replace what fights you.
LEAP or Smokeball
~ DependsSerious practice management with real precedent libraries and trust accounting. If your practice fits the shape, stay. Firms come to us for the parts these do not do: intake, client experience, and workflows specific to their niche.
Trust accounting
✓ KeepWe do not build trust accounting. It is heavily regulated and audited, and purpose-built software should handle it. We integrate around it.
PEXA
✓ KeepConveyancing settlement runs through it. We connect matters to it rather than competing with it.

“Really happy with the results for my website this company achieved for me, personal touch along the whole way and very fair on pricing as I got quotes from other companies which were ridiculously higher for less quality. Happy I found them.”

Ask it directly →01What does custom legal software cost?+
Quoted fixed after a free call. Intake and client portals are the usual starting point because they show returns fastest. Full matter workflow is a larger build. Ranges are on our blog.
02Do we have to leave LEAP or Smokeball?+
Usually not, and often you should not. Trust accounting and precedent libraries are genuinely hard to replace. Most firms keep them and add the intake, workflow or client-facing layer their practice management does poorly.
03Do you build trust accounting?+
No. It is tightly regulated, externally audited and well served by specialist software. Building it custom would be adding risk for no gain. We integrate with what you run.
04How do you handle client confidentiality?+
Role-based access down to the matter, encryption in transit and at rest, full audit logging, two-factor authentication and Australian data residency where available. Access is scoped so staff see only the matters they are on.
05Can it generate documents from matter data?+
Yes. Templates pull names, dates, parties and clauses from the matter, so documents come out correct without anyone find-and-replacing last client’s details.
06How long does it take?+
An intake and portal build typically ships in 6 to 10 weeks. Full matter workflow usually runs 10 to 16 depending on how many matter types need mapping.
